Day 4 Volterra and Tuscany
We learn of Etruscan pre-Roman civilization.
Annie Adain, our local guide, gives us a talking historical walk detailing history of city and local sites and an alabaster workshop experience and the Etruscan Museum. Later a wonderful wine tasting experience in 13th century cellar. Dinner on our own at a street cafe. |

Etruscan Museum - slideshow
Etruscan Museum. "Mario Guarnacci". One of the oldest museums in Europe. A collection fundamentally known for understanding the Etruscans. Known for its collection of over 600 funerary urns circa 4th to 1st century B.C. Materials of terracotta, stone, and alabaster.
